7D6N Spiritual Tour

Day 00 – SINGAPORE TO KOLKATA AIRPORT
Suggested flight: Singapore Airline (SIN – CCU, 20:55 – 22:40) **SIN (GMT+8), CCU (GMT+5.5)
Stay overnight at Kolkata.


Day 01 – KOLKATA TO GANGTOK (Breakfast, lunch & dinner included)
After having breakfast at hotel, take a domestic flight from Kolkata Airport to Bagdogra Airport.
Suggested timing: 12noon – 1pm arrives at Bagdogra Airport.
After your arrival at Bagdogra Airport, we will drive up to the pleasant hill town of Gangtok. The verdant hills and the majestic green-hued River Teesta make up the scenic journey, which will take around 5 hours.

 

After check-in to hotel, you are free to spend your time at MG Marg, the main marketing area of Gangtok.

Day 02 – MONASTIC SIGHTSEEING TOUR (Breakfast & dinner included)
Out of the 200 monasteries in Sikkim, you will be visiting a few important ones tied with fascinating histories.
Experience the transcendent peace as you encounter red-clad lamas, flickering butter lamps, colourful prayer flags, and melodious chanting in the ambiance of the monasteries.


Enchey Sangag Rabtenling Monastery – First established in 1840 and rebuilt in 1909.
LingdumZurmang Kharwang – Was established in 1999. Prayers for well-being and lighting of 108 lamps.
Rumtek Dharma Centre – This monastery preserves unique artefacts and holy crown of the late Dakinis.

Namgyal Institute of Tibetology – Rare collection of statues, ritual objects, thangkas and ancient manuscripts.
Do Drul Chorten – Complete set of holy books and religious objects, surrounded by 108 prayer wheels

**The famous Kagyed Dance Festival is celebrated at Rumtek Dharma Centre on 28 – 29th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan Calendar.

 

Day 03 – GANGTOK TO DZONGU (Breakfast & dinner included)
Early morning, visit to Tsuklakhang, the royal chapel of Namgyals of Sikkim. After breakfast, we will departs for Dzongu, the preserved land of the Lepcha tribe, outsiders are not allowed to settle here.
En route, you will visit Karma Thubten Tashi Cho Khorling Monastery at Phodong. A delicious lunch using locally grown ingredients will be served at Planters Home, Mangan.
A short interaction session for you to chat with the local will be held before the dinner.

Rest for the day at a homestay in Passingdang.

 

Day 04 – DZONGU EXPLORATIONS (Breakfast & dinner included)
Discover the local traditions and culture in the villages of Dzongu. You will be visiting Lower Dzongu villages of Namprikdang, Sangkhalang, and Hee Gyathang, to see the traditional Lepcha House and the sacred lake of Tung Kyong.
After lunch, you will be heading to the Lingdem Hot Springs to enjoy a therapeutic bath. Followed by the visit to Lingzya Waterfalls.

Relax and rest of the day at the homestay in Passingdang.


Day 05 – DZONGU TO RABONGLA (Breakfast & dinner included)
After breakfast, departs for Rabongla, a small tourist town located at an elevation of 8000 ft.
The journey will take up most of the day to reach our destination.

 

Day 06 – RABONGLA (Breakfast & dinner included)
You will be visiting a few interesting attractions, such as Tathagata Tsal (Buddha Park), Bon Yung Dung Monastery, and Ralong Karma Rabtenling Monastery. A major festival of Sikkim called Pang Lhabsol is celebrated in Ralong Monastery. It usually occurs in the month of August or September.

In the evening, learn more about Tibetan calligraphy from an local expert.

 


Day 07 – RABONGLA TO SINGAPORE (Breakfast included)
Departs from Rablongla to Bagdogra airport. Take domestic flight from Bagdogra to Kolkata Airport.

Day 00 – SINGAPORE TO KOLKATA AIRPORT

Stay overnight at Kolkata.

 

Day 01 – KOLKATA TO GANGTOK (Breakfast, lunch & dinner included)

After having breakfast at hotel, take a domestic flight from Kolkata Airport to Bagdogra Airport.

Suggested timing: 12noon – 1pm arrives at Bagdogra Airport.

After your arrival at Bagdogra Airport, we will drive to Namchi, the second largest town after Gangtok and a religious-cultural hub. After check-in to hotel, we will be visiting Samdruptse Hill and Char Dham.

Rest for the day at a homestay in Assangthang Village, Namchi.

 

Day 02 – NAMCHI TO OKHREY (Breakfast & dinner included)

After breakfast, we will drive down to Okhrey, a small village in West Sikkim. A short interactive session has been arranged in the evening for you to interact with the Sherpa farming community at the nearby villages.

Rest for the day at one of the village homestays.

 

Day 03 – OKHREY – HILLEY – BARSEY (Breakfast & dinner included)

Get ready for a wonderful hike in the morning as we drive to Hilley, the starting point of the hiking trail to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. This scenic sanctuary occupies 104km² and offers a great view of the surrounding mountains. The trail will end at the Barsey Forest Hut.

After completing the easy hike, we will be having our lunch before heading back to Hilley and rest for the day at one of the village homestays.

 

Day 04 – HILLEY – SREEBADAM – HEE-BERMIOK (Breakfast & dinner included)

Many picturesque villages can be found in West Sikkim. You will be able to have a glimpse into the local rural life.

After driving down to the village of Sreebadam, you can observe how the organic rainbow trout farmers work. We will be having our lunch there, you might even be served a platter of fresh rainbow trout!

The tour will be followed by a drive to another quiet hamlet, the Hee-Bermiok. Rest for the day at a homestay.

 

Day 06 – HEE-BERMIOK TO GANTOK (Breakfast & dinner included)

We will be driving back to Gangtok, the travelling time will take approximately 5 hours. After checking-in to hotel, you’re free to spend your time at MG Marg, the bustling town centre at Gantok.

 

Day 07 – RABONGLA (Breakfast & dinner included)

Take a break in the morning and our tour will resume in the afternoon for a short sightseeing tour which will be covering Govt Institute of Cottage Industries, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Do Drul Chorten.

After the tour, head back to hotel for dinner.

 

Day 08 – GANGTOK TO SINGAPORE  (Breakfast included)

Departs from Gangtok to Bagdogra airport. Take domestic flight from Bagdogra to Kolkata Airport.
